Gears and Gasoline's 1996 Eagle Talon TSI AWD is, like many Diamond Star Motorcars of the era, quite the hybrid…
Featuring a 4G63 engine swapped from a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, combined with a Xonarotor XR5757S ball-bearing turbo, cooling became paramount to aid maximal flow for the turbo, while keeping the air charge as cool as possible.
Mounting a PWR Eclipse radiator and a PWR Universal 3” core intercooler up front helped the car make 530 all-wheel horsepower, and 451 foot pounds of torque.
“The Talon has been a big project this year! Thankfully, the PWR products were a simple and highly effective solution to keep us cool!” - Ben Lin
The combination of radiator and intercooler helped increase the performance of this unique hybrid, allowing the team the confidence to take their Eagle Talon on the road & build out their web projects.
