It’s no secret that the SCORE International off-road championship is one of the most gruelling competitions on the planet, with both man and machine put to the ultimate test in the harsh pastures of the Mexican desert.
After what has been a trying run with the Team Australia Trophy Truck entry of Paul Weel and Toby Price, all elements came together at the Baja 500, where the team would reign supreme for the first time in their young career in the series, standing on the top step of the podium.
A monstrous effort by both drivers saw the #46 on pole, with Price laying down a scorching qualifying time that would see them take off from P1. From there, Price and Weel put together a brilliant performance from start to finish which saw them become the first non-US and non-Mexican drivers to take out the event.
